Link between Headquarters and local organisation. Perform and check civil engineering calculations and design for Rolling Mills, Process Lines & Finishing Lines projects; Perform and check steel structure calculations and design for Rolling Mills, Process Lines & Finishing Lines projects. - Responsible for basic design of civils and basic/detail design of steel structures; Responsible for quality of own work and that of engineers in the group. - Basic Civil Engineering: Prepare basic deisgn drawing of area to interface with mechanical/fluids equipment, before creating construction engineering drawings. - Steel Structure Engineering: Prepare basic and detail design drawings, BOMs and manufacture information. - Quality: Ensure all drawings prepared by subordinates conform to all Siemens standards and that the engineering is of the standard expected by Clients of Siemens. - Site Steel Structure Engineering: Solve installation/commissioning problems on site and/or pass details of design problems to SLC or HQ for resolution. - Engineering Liaison (Headquarters): Provide engineering know-how specific to the Chinese market (e.g. knowledge of Chinese equivalents to European Standards). Act as a link between SLC and headquarters where there is an split in design scope. - Engineering Liaison (Client): Act as a link between Siemens and the Client. Answering Client questions by e-mail/telephone or attending Kick-off and Design meetings. What do I need to qualify for this job? - Bachelor or above - Major in civil engineering. - 2D Design with AutoCAD Mechanical; 3D design with Tekla Structure; - Familiar with principle of steel structure engineering and/or civil design technology. - Good Communication Skills, good English skills is a plus. - Rolling Technology experience/ Process line experience is a plus.
