This position is to provide technical documentation assistance for Siemens operating companies (“OC”) to obtain and sustain R&D related tax benefits. Introduction Corporate Technology (CT) -With over 1,900 research operatives worldwide, the Corporate Technology department (www.ct.siemens.com) occupies a special position within Siemens R&D facilities. It functions as an international work of expertise and as a global partner for technology and innovations. Through its R&D activities in Germany, the USA, China, India, Russia, Japan and Eastern Europe Corporate Technology helps secure the companys technological future and bolster its competitiveness Technology & Innovation Management (TIM) -As Corporate Technology’s strategy department, CT TIM focuses on our technological future and defines technology topics and projects for Corporate Technology and Siemens. TIM is responsible for coordinating CT activities at the interface to the Sectors as well as relationships with external technology partners. What’s more, TIM controls CT’s internal communications. What are my responsibilities? -Interview the key persons of the ed entities to understand the operation model and R&D profile of each entity; -Carry out technical interviews with operational key engineers of the ed entities to identify R&D activities and define projects; -Build up technical merits of R&D activities, i.e. activities commensurate with and directly in support of the R&D projects; Identify core IP and map revenue to core IP; -Articulate eligibility arguments technical perspective for the HNTE status and R&D super deduction; -Detailed review of the information gathered during the above process of HNTE and Super deduction documentation assistance; and -Prepare technical reports for the ed entities. What do I need to qualify for this job? -Bachelor majored in science. Electrical & Information Engineering is preferred. -Some financial / accounting knowledge is preferred but is not mandatory. -Three years experience in technical engineering or R&D. -Familiar with Siemens products and systems. -Good English level. -Effective communication and collaboration. -Work actively, carefully, creatively and with full patience. -In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
